Dr. Kulwant Turna graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1996. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at State University of New York in Buffalo, New York. Raised in Toronto, he attended the University of Toronto and received a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. He enjoys being a dentist and uses his skills daily to put patients at ease in return for their trust and respect and the satisfaction of seeing their precious smiles. As no two smiles are alike, Dr. Turna spends time with patients to give them the personalized care that is needed.
Continuing education is the hallmark of Dr. Turna’s career as he has taken numerous courses to update his skills. After his DDS degree, he joined the Academy of General Dentistry, a leading source of education in Dentistry. Dr. Turna joined the Ontario AGD Board in 2002. After serving in various roles with OAGD, he became President in 2012. Continuing in a leadership role, he was invited to be a member of the Membership Council of the AGD in Chicago, where he remains in that role. Dr. Turna is currently pursuing the prestigious Fellowship Award with the AGD and will soon be attaining a Fellowship with the Academy of Dentistry International. He is also a member of the Ontario Dental Association.
This pursuit of continuing education by Dr. Turna provides his patients with the most current knowledge and technical skills needed to keep up with the ever-changing field of Dentistry. Outside the dental office, Dr. Turna spends his time with his wife and two daughters skiing, skating, swimming, snowboarding, and giving back to the community by volunteering at his local place of worship. He is currently learning how to play the piano and continues his pursuit of excellence in tennis.
